Association Lien Services (ALS) has been successfully collecting regular and special assessments for California community associations since 1987. We are The Assessment Lien Collection Specialists.
ALS
provides attorney-supervised, systematized assessment lien
collection/foreclosure services for community associations throughout
California. We are proud to be the statewide leader in assessment
collection. Our strength and success can be attributed to the fact that
we provide superior service and excellent results, collecting millions
of dollars from thousands of delinquent owners each year without actually having
to foreclose. ALS is not a collection agency; we are a highly
experienced collection service utilizing the non-judicial foreclosure
process to collect from delinquent owners. Our goal is not to foreclose; it is to collect our association clients' money as expeditiously as possible.
Assessment
collection in California has become complicated by statutes designed to
give the delinquent owner sufficient notice so they can avoid the loss
of their home or property. ALS is able to navigate the legal
complexities of the collection process because it is attorney supervised
and because of its affiliation with SwedelsonGottlieb,
one of California's leading community association law firms. This
relationship sets ALS apart from the other assessment collection
companies utilizing the non-judicial process; we remain aware of
associations' legal obligations and provide informed and customized
non-judicial alternatives for assessment collection.
Because
we utilize the preferred non-judicial collection process, Association
Lien Services is able to carefully monitor the timing of the collection
process and to provide board members and managers with online (24/7)
real-time status reports through our Assessment Recovery Management System (ARMS). ALS requires no advance fee,
and the costs of collection (which includes attorneys' and collection
fees, title reports and other collection costs) are charged directly to
and paid by the delinquent homeowner as part of the settlement of their
account.
